Mission:
Catholic Charities Services Corporation continues the mission on Jesus by responding to those in need through an integrated system of quality services designed to respect the dignity of every pardon and build a just and compassionate society.
Fast Facts:
- Catholic Charities has provided services to the residents of Lorain County for over 53 years.
- Currently there are 2 service sites - downtown Lorain and Elyria.
- These sites provide services to over 15,000 individuals and families in 2004.
- Over 200 volunteers are utilized annually in a variety of capacities
- Catholic Charities is licensed by Ohio Department of Mental Health and accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
- 2005 allocations from the United Way totaled $130,690.00 to support 5 programs
- United Way supported programs: Outpatient Mental Health - Adoption/Foster Care - Hot Meal; Day Shelter; Community Connection - In Home Services for Older Adults - Youth Violent Prevention.
