School Scoop
The students and faculty of Clearview High School have teamed up to help the less fortunate in our county. The President's Club of the school has organized a winter fundraiser for United Way of Greater Lorain County. The President's Club consists of the president of each club in the school. The club meets each school year and decides where to donate the funds raised within their school. United Way of Greater Lorain County has been chosen for this school year.
The students are participating in a friendly competition between each grade level. The class that collects the most money will win an in-school free study day.
Jamie Hunt, a Junior at Clearview and a representative on the United Way Youth Leader Council, said "I'm proud to see my peers give to a much needed local non profit agency. Our goal is $500, but with the enthusiasm shown from the students and faculty, I believe we'll go above and beyond."
United Way of Greater Lorain County thanks Clearview High School for choosing us to receive the funds. If you have any questions or need help organizing a fundraiser at your organization, please call Jeanette Willis at 440-277-6530 ext. 26.
