Prevention, Risk Evaluation, Direct Intervention, Community Training
PREDICT is an educational training program offered through Lorain County Safe Harbor/Genesis House that provides consultation and support to agencies, corporations, and individuals who face high-stakes predictions of violence.
*We evaluate and assess inappropriate, alarming, and threatening communications and situations at home or in the workplace. We provide expert-witness testimony in court cases that involve domestic violence and stalking, and consultation on cases that involve threats, risk assessment and the prevention of violence.
*We provide training on domestic violence and stalking to law enforcement agencies, hospitals, prosecutors, private agencies, corporations, and universities.
*We recommend that you consider the following services to meet your safety needs:
- Assessment and Management of Inappropriate Pursuit. We review, assess, and provide recommendations for specific safety concerns, including domestic violence, stalking, workplace violence, and disgruntled consumers. This includes the services already in place by Genesis House for victims of domestic violence and stalking.
- Expert Witness Testimony. We provide expert-witness consultation and testimony on court cases involving domestic violence and stalking.
- Advocacy with Prosecutors. We provide consultation with prosecutor's offices in matters involving inappropriate pursuit, stalking, domestic violence, workplace violence, and threats.
- Use of MOSAIC-Threat Assessment System. MOSAIC is a computer-assisted assessment system that provides guidance in the evaluation of situations that might escalate to violence.
- Individualized Safety Consultation. We provide specific suggestions to improve safety and reduce vulnerability to inappropriate pursuit.
- Workplace Violence Prevention Training. We provide training in prevention, recognition, and management of potential workplace violence situations, as well as assisting in the development of workplace policies.
