Why Emerge supports the United Way

EmergeEmerge, a professional Internet development firm based in Elyria, has been a strong supporter of the Lorain County United Way for many years. "Being involved in the community is very important to everyone at Emerge," says company president Ed Skimin.

"Individually and as a company, we support United Way because we believe in the good work and positive results achieved by the United Way, its partner agencies and programs," says Emerge team member and campaign manager Nyree Proctor.

Besides being a contributor, Ed Skimin is also a member of the United Way Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee and Chair of the Marketing Committee. According to Ed, "As stewards of donated money, it is very important that the United Way continuously share their successes with the community."

"Another reason we have continued to be strong supporters is because the United Way is constantly listening to the needs of the community and focusing resources on the most important needs," said Ed.
