Day of Caring Community Pantry Drive Results!
Results are in and the 2005 Day of Caring Community Pantry Drive was a success. Together, ten drop off sites in Lorain County yielded 3,101 pounds of food and $1,309.11 for Second Harvest Food Bank. This food will then be sorted and distributed to people in need throughout Lorain County.
Each month, approximately 30,000 people are assisted through the Second Harvest Food Bank's member charities in Lorain, Erie, Huron and Crawford counties. Without the generosity of those in the community, these pantries would run dry. The United Way and Second Harvest would like to thank all the organization and individuals that helped make this pantry drive a success.
