First annual Small Business Blitz a success!

On October 17th, United Way volunteers canvassed Lorain County for the first annual "You are Bigger Than You Think" Small Business Campaign. This event was lead by Edmond Skimin, co-founder, LorainCounty.com and Gary Kneisley, President, WEOL. United Way friends spent the afternoon visiting small businesses across the county, speaking with business owners about the United Way and encouraging them to participate in this year's campaign.

More than 150 businesses were visited and $500.00 was collected. In addition the day was a great opportunity to reach out to individuals in Lorain County that have not previously been involved with United Way. Small business owners were given the chance to ask questions about the United Way campaign, the allocation process and our partner agencies. The United Way would like to thank all the community members that helped make this event successful.
