The Linden School

The mission of the Linden School is to support Lorain County’s families of all economic, cultural, and racial backgrounds by providing the child(ren) affordable, high-quality, child-centered, family-focused care.

The Linden School serves children from all over Lorain County, ages 6 weeks to 9 years. Our programs include preschool, before/after school care, holiday care and summer camp for children 5-9 years of age. For information regarding enrollment availability, please contact Angela Obbish at (440) 284-9724.

The Linden School will provide your child:

  • Developmentally appropriate hands-on success oriented learning opportunities.
  • Problem solving activities that enable and empower children to develop a strong sense of self.
  • Holistic care to foster mental, emotional, social and psychological development in young children.
  • A solid educational foundation to enhance future learning experiences.
  • Teachers who provide opportunities for learning in an atmosphere of trust and love.

The Linden School will provide this in an environment where children can:

  • Experience a base of warmth and security provided by caring adults in which they can grow, respect and enjoy each other.
  • Foster success, independence, acceptance or responsibility, cooperation, and self control to grow as responsible members of their families and citizens of their community.
  • Have freedom within set limits.
  • Explore creativity.
  • Experience a varying activity schedule that reflects and fills these needs while respecting cultural diversity.
  • HAVE FUN!

Intergenerational Child Care Program (ICCP):
The Linden School offers children a unique opportunity to forge relationships with seniors that reside in the Wesleyan Village. We are one of only three child care centers in Lorain County that offer this type of program. The program brings children and seniors together to participate in literacy, science/math, and cooking activities.
